Overview
The ResMed HumidAir standard water tub is the sealed humidifier chamber built into every AirSense 10 and AirCurve 10 box. One molded piece with a hinged lid holds 380 mL to the fill line, with nothing to disassemble before you use it.
ResMed does not rate this sealed version for disinfection, so a contaminated tub gets replaced rather than reprocessed. Anyone who would rather maintain one chamber long term should look at the HumidAir tub that comes apart instead, ResMed's reprocessable version.
Key Features:
- 380 mL capacity: Holds 380 mL to the molded max fill line, enough for a full night on most pressure settings.
- Sealed single piece: The tub is one molded piece with a hinged lid, so there is no separate seal to track down.
- Air10 platform: Seats in any AirSense 10, AirStart 10 or AirCurve 10 humidifier with no adapter and no modification.
- Not for disinfection: ResMed rates this version for single-patient use only and does not validate it for repeated disinfection cycles.
- Hand wash only: ResMed rates this tub hand wash only, which keeps it out of the hot cycles that could warp the clear plastic body.
- Clear tank body: See-through plastic shows the water level at a glance, with a molded line marking the maximum fill.
This tub suits anyone on an AirSense 10, AirStart 10 or AirCurve 10 who wants the simplest replacement chamber, one sealed piece with nothing to take apart. Anyone who would rather maintain and reuse one chamber should look at the version that comes apart instead.
How It Works
Why this version is sealed
A humidifier chamber that comes apart can be reached on every internal surface for cleaning. A sealed chamber cannot, so ResMed molds this version as one hinged-lid piece rather than a chamber meant to be taken apart and disinfected.
That tradeoff keeps the part simple, but it also means a contaminated tub has to be replaced outright rather than reprocessed the way the cleanable version can be.
Not the AirSense 11 tub
This tub fits the Air10 generation only, identified by twin round connector rings and a rounded barrel where the humidifier bay meets the machine. An AirSense 11 or AirCurve 11 uses a flat connector with exposed pins and takes the HumidAir 11 tub instead.
The two tubs are not interchangeable in either direction. Check the machine generation before ordering, since the standard AirSense 10 tub will not seat in an AirSense 11 humidifier bay.
380 mL and distilled water
The molded max fill line marks 380 mL, which ResMed sizes for a full night of humidification on most pressure settings. Filling past that line risks water reaching the air tubing rather than staying in the chamber.
ResMed recommends distilled water in the Air10 humidifier, which keeps mineral scale from building up on the heater plate and inside the tub itself over time.

Everything you need to know about the ResMed HumidAir Standard Water Tub for AirSense 10
One piece, nothing to lose
Fill it to the line, snap the lid shut, and you are done, no separate seal or gasket to hunt for when you are rushing to get to bed. The tradeoff for that simplicity is a tub built to be replaced rather than taken apart and disinfected.
Check your machine generation first
Order the wrong tub and it simply will not seat, since an AirSense 11 or AirCurve 11 takes an entirely different shape. This one is sized for the Air10 family, AirSense 10, AirStart 10 and AirCurve 10 machines, so confirm which generation you own before buying.
Replace it about twice a year
A fresh tub keeps humidification working the way it should, since ResMed's own replacement schedule calls for a new one every six months, the same Medicare-based interval used across most CPAP supplies. Watch for clouding, cracks or pitting sooner than that and swap it early.

380 mL capacity
Holds 380 mL to the molded max fill line, enough water for a full night on most pressure settings.
Clear tank body
See-through plastic lets you check the water level at a glance before you go to bed.
Sealed single piece
Built as one molded piece, with no separate seal or gasket to track down, lose or reseat wrong.
Air10 platform
Seats in any AirSense 10, AirStart 10 or AirCurve 10 humidifier with no adapter needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my AirSense 10?
Yes. It fits every AirSense 10 and AirStart 10 CPAP and every AirCurve 10 bilevel machine. It does not fit an AirSense 11 or AirCurve 11, which use a different tub entirely.
Can I wash this tub in the dishwasher?
No. ResMed's AirSense 10 guide calls for hand washing only, in warm water with a mild detergent, and specifically says not to use a dishwasher or a washing machine.
How is this different from the cleanable tub?
This is the sealed, single-patient version. ResMed does not rate it for disinfection, so if it is ever contaminated it gets replaced rather than cleaned. The cleanable tub comes apart and is validated for 130 disinfection cycles instead.
How often should I replace this tub?
ResMed's own replacement tip sheet lists every 6 months for humidifier water chambers, the same interval used for U.S. Medicare resupply. Replace it sooner if the plastic clouds, cracks or pits, or if the water it held was ever contaminated.
How much water does it hold?
380 mL to the molded max fill line, enough for a full night of humidification on most pressure settings. Use distilled water to keep mineral scale from building up inside.
