Overview
The ResMed HumidAir reusable water tub is the AirSense 10 humidifier chamber built to be taken apart. The lid separates from the base and the silicone seal lifts out, so every internal surface can be reached rather than sealed away for the life of the part.
ResMed validates this version for 130 disinfection cycles. The standard tub carries no such rating at all, and ResMed states plainly that it cannot be disinfected and has to be discarded once it is contaminated, which is the whole reason this second version exists.
Key Features:
- Comes apart: The lid pulls away from the base and the silicone seal lifts out of the lid by hand.
- Rated for reuse: ResMed validates the tub for 130 disinfection cycles, a rating the standard AirSense 10 tub does not carry.
- 380 mL capacity: Takes 380 mL up to the molded line, enough for a full night on most pressure settings.
- Air10 platform: Seats in any AirSense 10, AirStart 10 or AirCurve 10 humidifier with no adapter and no modification.
- Stainless base plate: A metal plate covers the bottom of the chamber, which is what transfers heat from the humidifier.
- Distilled water: ResMed calls for distilled water in the Air10 humidifier, which keeps mineral scale from forming inside.
This tub suits anyone on an AirSense 10, AirStart 10 or AirCurve 10 who would rather maintain a chamber than keep buying new ones. It is the only Air10 tub ResMed rates for disinfection, so it is also the choice for shared or clinical use.
Note: This is an Air10 part. An AirSense 11 or AirCurve 11 uses the HumidAir 11 tub, which is a different shape and will not seat in an Air10 humidifier.
How It Works
What taking it apart actually gets you
A sealed humidifier chamber can only be flushed from the outside. Water sits in it overnight, evaporates, and leaves whatever was dissolved in it on surfaces a brush cannot reach, which is why ResMed treats a contaminated standard chamber as disposable rather than salvageable.
This version separates into three pieces: a lid, a base, and a silicone seal that sits between them. Each is handled and dried on its own, and the seal, which is the part most likely to trap residue in its groove, comes away completely.
The 130 cycle disinfection rating
ResMed publishes validated procedures for this part in the AirSense 10 and AirCurve 10 reprocessing guide. Two routes are covered, a hot water bath at pasteurizing temperature and a chemical soak, and both carry a validated count of 130 cycles.
Those procedures exist for multi patient environments such as sleep labs and clinics. A single user at home does not need them, and the weekly routine printed in the machine user guide is enough on its own.

Everything you need to know about the ResMed HumidAir Cleanable Water Tub for AirSense 10
Reusable or standard tub
This is the tub you buy if you would rather maintain a chamber than keep replacing one. ResMed validates it for 130 disinfection cycles, and states plainly that the standard tub cannot be disinfected at all and must be discarded once it is contaminated.
Not the AirSense 11 tub
This tub fits the Air10 generation only. An AirSense 11 or AirCurve 11 takes the HumidAir 11 tub instead, which is a different shape and will not seat in an Air10 humidifier, so check the machine before ordering.
Distilled water and weekly care
ResMed calls for distilled water in the Air10 humidifier, which keeps mineral scale out of the tub. Wash it weekly in warm water with a mild detergent, then let it dry fully out of direct sunlight before it goes back.

Comes apart
The lid lifts off the base and the seal pulls out, so every inside surface can be reached.
Rated for reprocessing
ResMed validates this tub for 130 disinfection cycles, where the standard tub is not rated for any.
380 mL capacity
Holds 380 mL to the maximum fill line, which is a full night on most pressure settings.
Removable silicone seal
The seal sits in a groove in the lid and lifts out by hand, with no tool and no spare part.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my AirSense 10?
Yes. It fits every AirSense 10 and AirStart 10 CPAP and every AirCurve 10 bilevel machine. It does not fit an AirSense 11 or AirCurve 11, which use a different tub entirely.
How is this different from the standard tub?
The standard tub is a sealed single-patient part that ResMed says cannot be disinfected. This one comes apart into a lid, a base and a seal, and is validated for 130 disinfection cycles.
How should I clean this tub?
Take it apart, then wash the lid, base and seal in warm water with a mild detergent and rinse them thoroughly. ResMed's AirSense 10 guide says not to wash the tub in a dishwasher or a washing machine.
How often should I replace this tub?
ResMed does not publish a replacement interval for this tub, so we do not state one. Replace it when the plastic clouds or cracks, when the seal stops sitting flush, or if it is ever contaminated.
Does it come with a seal?
Yes. The silicone seal ships fitted in the lid, and it lifts out for cleaning and presses back in by hand. There is nothing else to buy and no tools are needed.
