This is the heated hose ResMed builds for the AirSense 11 and AirCurve 11. A heating wire runs the tube's length, keeping the air warm all the way to your mask, and it pairs with the HumidAir 11 tub to unlock Climate Control.

The tube itself runs 2 meters long with a 15 mm bore, the same dimensions ResMed has used since the AS10 tube. What sets this one apart is the connector: a flat, gold-pinned fitting built specifically for the Air11 outlet.

Why the altitude and storage ranges moved

Both figures come from the tube's own published spec, not the AirSense 11 device's rating, and both moved up from the AS10 generation: a higher altitude ceiling and a wider storage temperature window in both directions.

Neither is likely to matter on an ordinary night at home. They matter more for someone who travels to elevation, or who stores a spare tube somewhere that gets genuinely hot or cold between uses, like a car or an unheated closet.

What the flow numbers mean

ResMed publishes a resistance-to-flow figure for this tube: 0.0077 cm H2O per liter/minute at a 15 L/min flow, rising to 0.0100 at 30 L/min, both measured at a 20 cm H2O set pressure. In plain terms, the tube itself pushes back a little harder as more air moves through it, and that push grows with flow rate.

A separate compliance figure, 0.500 mL per cm H2O at 60 cm H2O, describes how much the tube itself expands under pressure rather than holding perfectly rigid. Both numbers are built into how your machine already compensates for pressure delivered at the mask, not something you need to adjust for.

Setting it up, and what it's made of

The electrical connector end is exclusive to the air outlet at the back of the machine and should never be pushed onto the mask end by mistake. Line the cuff up, push it in firmly, and connect the mask to the free end of the tube.

ResMed lists the tube's construction as flexible plastic with electrical components built in, which is what carries both the airflow and the heating signal in one piece rather than as two separate parts.
