Philips builds two headgears for DreamWear, and this is the plain one. The straps slide into slots on the frame and hold it in place, with no arms of their own, which makes it the lighter of the two on the head. Philips lists it as the optional headgear.

How often should this be replaced?
Philips gives no fixed schedule. Replace the headgear when the fabric has gone slack and you find yourself pulling the straps tighter than you used to.
Does a full face cushion work here?
Not on its own. This band suits the nasal and pillows cushions, so a full face mask has to have its cushion changed at the same time for the setup to work.
