Overview

The AirFit F10 cushion is the dual-wall Spring Air seal on ResMed's F10 full face mask, spanning nose and mouth. Fitting a new one restores a snug, comfortable seal, and since the vent lives in the cushion, you get a new vent too.

Pick Extra Small, Small, Medium or Large, whichever matches the cushion you wear now. Your existing frame, headgear and elbow all carry on unchanged, and the sizing tips below help if you are unsure.

Key Features:

  • Breeze away from your partner: Diffused venting sends exhaled air gently away from the bed, so the person beside you stays undisturbed.
  • Full face coverage: Because it spans your nose and mouth together, breathing through either one overnight still gets the full benefit of therapy.
  • Quick to swap: The frame presses onto the cushion and clicks into place at the lower corners, so a change takes a minute or two.
  • Latex free: ResMed's F10 guide rules out natural rubber latex, as well as PVC and phthalates, in its mask materials.
  • Keep the mask you like: With the F10 itself discontinued, this cushion is how you keep the mask you know comfortable and sealing well.

It suits longtime F10 wearers who still love their mask and simply need it sealing like new again, or who want a size up or down without buying a new frame. It keeps the fit you already know and trust night after night.

Note: For Her wearers use this same cushion. The F10 For Her differs only in its pink headgear, so order your usual size.

How It Works

Changing the cushion

To remove the frame, hold the bottom of the hook and pull the frame corner slightly away from the cushion, then do the same on the other side. The old cushion lifts away with its vent.

Press the frame onto the new cushion at the top first, then click the two bottom corners into place. Refit the elbow and headgear, and the mask is ready.

Finding your size

Size the cushion by the span from the crease of your chin to the inside corner of your eyes. The right size covers your nose and mouth without pressing on your eyes or sitting below your chin.

Sizing is not always consistent between ResMed masks, so measure afresh if the F10 is new to you. If you already wear one, simply order the same size.

Getting a good seal

Seat the cushion against your face first, and only then pull the straps around behind your head. Drawing the mask downward across your face risks bending the soft inner wall, a common cause of leaks.

Adjust the straps only until the seal holds and no further. If it leaks, lift it off, let the cushion reshape and settle it again before reaching for the straps.

Everything you need to know about the ResMed AirFit F10 and Quattro Air Full Face Cushion

Still made for your mask

ResMed no longer makes the AirFit F10 mask, but it still makes this cushion, as the cushion for its Quattro Air full face mask. If you love your F10, you can keep wearing it with a fresh cushion each month.

Not for newer masks

Newer ResMed full face masks such as the AirFit F20, F30 and F30i take their own cushions and will not fit an F10 frame. This cushion is for the F10 and Quattro Air families alone, so read the model name on your frame first.

Seals without tight straps

The inner layer of the cushion gently inflates against your face with your airflow, so the seal comes from air rather than strap tension. Straps that need cinching tighter every week are a sign the cushion, not the headgear, has worn out.

Dual-wall cushion

The Spring Air cushion has two layers that work together for a comfortable, dependable seal all night long.

Built-in vent

Because the vent sits in the cushion itself, each replacement also gives you a brand new, quiet vent.

Four sizes

Extra Small, Small, Medium and Large cover a wide range of faces, from petite to broad.

Soft inner layer

The soft inner wall settles against your skin, so the cushion feels gentle wherever it meets your face.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit my Quattro Air mask?

Yes. ResMed sells this same cushion as the Quattro Air cushion, with the same part numbers for Small, Medium and Large. It fits the Quattro Air and the Quattro Air For Her.

Is there a separate For Her cushion?

No. The F10 For Her uses this same cushion and differs only in its pink headgear. For Her wearers usually take Extra Small, Small or Medium.

How do I pick the right size?

Hold the cushion with the bottom at the crease of your chin and the top at the inside corner of your eyes. The size that spans that distance without pressing on your eyes is the one.

What daily care does it need?

Separate it from the frame and wash it by hand in warm, mildly soapy water, with a soft brush on the vent. Rinse it well, then let it dry naturally away from strong sunlight.

How long does an F10 cushion last?

ResMed's replacement schedule for full face cushions is monthly. Change it earlier if the material splits or tears, or if leaks continue even after you reseat it carefully.
