How It Works
Using the fitting template
Print ResMed's template at actual size, then hold it just under your nose. Read off the cutout that best matches the width of your nose, since this cushion is sized by nose width rather than face length.
A size on another mask model is no guide here, so measure again rather than reorder by habit. Your frame is sized separately, so a new cushion size never means a new frame.
Silicone or fabric
The AirTouch F30i uses a different cushion on the same family of frames, a silicone-coated fabric sold under its own sizes. It is not this cushion in another finish.
Care is the main practical difference. This silicone cushion can take a soft brush, while the fabric one is washed by hand without a bristle brush and may pill a little as it ages.
Daily care routine
Each day, soak the cushion in warm, soapy water and work over it with a soft brush, paying attention to the vent holes. Rinse it under running water and let it air dry out of direct sunlight.
Keep it out of the dishwasher and washing machine, and skip harsh household cleaners. A gentle routine like this keeps the silicone soft and the seal reliable for the whole month.

Will this fit my AirTouch F30i frame?
ResMed describes the cushions across the F30i family as interchangeable, but sells this one for the AirFit F30i. The AirTouch F30i has its own fabric cushion, sold in different sizes.
Is the frame sized the same way?
No. The cushion goes by nose width, while the frame goes by how it sits on your head. If it falls back toward your ears try a smaller frame, and if it slides toward your eyes try a bigger one.
Will it work if I breathe through my mouth?
Yes. It is a full face cushion, so it covers your mouth as well as sealing under your nose, so therapy carries on normally for anyone who breathes through the mouth at night.
How often should I replace it?
ResMed recommends a new one monthly. Your frame and headgear outlast it by a wide margin, which makes the cushion your most frequent reorder.
Does the cushion contain any magnets?
No. The magnets sit in the frame and the lower headgear clips, and ResMed's warning about implants such as pacemakers applies to the whole mask rather than this cushion.
