Overview
The AirFit N30i cushion is the soft silicone cradle that sits under your nose on ResMed's N30i mask. Resting below the nostrils rather than across the bridge, it keeps pressure off your nose bridge and your view open.
Four sizes, Small, Small Wide, Medium and Wide, match different nose widths. Reorder the size you wear now, or measure first with ResMed's printable fitting template. Your current frame takes any of them.

Note: A template printed even slightly scaled will mislead you, so confirm the ruler on ResMed's sheet reads true first.
How It Works
Silicone or ComfiSoft fabric
ResMed sells the N30i with two cushions, this silicone cradle and the AirTouch N30i, which covers a silicone seal in soft fabric. Both fit the same frames, so the choice is about how the seal feels on your skin.
This silicone cradle offers four sizes and tolerates a soft brush. Its fabric sibling has three sizes, skips the brush entirely and needs replacing sooner, in exchange for that softer touch.
Choosing a frame size
The frame is sized separately from the cushion, by the shape of your head. If the frame falls back over your head or sits near your ears, try Small. If it slides forward toward your eyes, try Standard.
Every cushion size works with both frame sizes, so you never need to change frames to change cushion size. If the cushion fits but the mask shifts on your head, it is the frame size to change.
Changing the cushion
Pull the old cushion off the frame and slide the vent out of it. Fit the vent into the new cushion by matching its tab to the notch, then pull the cushion over the vent.
Line up the arrows on the cushion with the arrows on the frame and press it into place. Put the mask on, adjust the headgear until the seal feels steady, and you are ready for bed.

Freedom to move
With the tube connecting at the top of your head and a small cradle under the nose, there is little to catch on the pillow. That makes the N30i cushion a natural fit for side and stomach sleepers who change position through the night.
Not for the AirFit N30
The AirFit N30 and this N30i look alike but use different cushions. The N30 attaches with a notch and tab, while the N30i lines up with arrows on the frame, so check which mask you have before ordering.
Sized by nose width
Nose width, not face length, decides your size here. Slimmer noses usually land on Small or Medium, while broader ones fit Small Wide or Wide. The frame is picked separately, according to how it sits around your head.
Under-the-nose fit
The cradle sits under your nose, not over it, leaving the bridge free and your view clear for glasses or a book.
Two wide sizes
Small Wide and Wide are cut for broader noses, alongside the standard Small and Medium sizes.
Soft silicone cradle

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this fit the AirTouch N30i frame?
Yes. ResMed says the cushions for the AirTouch N30i, AirFit N30i and AirFit P30i are interchangeable, so this silicone cushion fits any of those frames.
Does a new cushion come with a vent?
No vent is listed in the box. Your existing vent slides out of the old cushion, and the new cushion pulls over it by matching its tab to the notch on the vent.
Can I put it in the dishwasher?
No. ResMed rules out the dishwasher and washing machine for every part of the N30i. Warm water, a little mild soap and your hands are all the cushion ever needs.
Can I brush the silicone cushion?
Yes. Unlike the fabric AirTouch cushion, this silicone one can take a soft brush, such as a soft toothbrush. Pay gentle attention to the vent holes, then let it air dry.
How long does each cushion last?
About a month, which is ResMed's guideline for this silicone cradle. Retire it sooner if it cracks, tears or will not seal after a careful refit, since the frame and headgear are built to outlast several cushions.
