Overview
The AirTouch F30i cushion is the fabric-covered seal that makes ResMed's AirTouch F30i so soft, curving around your mouth and tucking in below your nose. Its ComfiSoft surface feels soft against your skin, and a fresh one brings back the snug, comfortable seal of a new mask.
It comes in Small Wide, Medium and Large, chosen by the width of your nose rather than the size of your face. It fits the frame you already have, so your headgear and elbow carry on as before.
Key Features:
- Septum support: A built-in bridge under the nose holds the cushion in shape, so the seal stays consistent all night.
- Moves with you: AdaptiSeal lets the fabric follow the shape of your face, so changing position does not mean losing the seal.
- Mouth breathers welcome: Because it covers your mouth too, therapy keeps working even if you breathe through your mouth while asleep.
- Latex free: ResMed's user guide marks the mask as not made with natural rubber latex, and that includes the cushion.
- Cushion only: ResMed ships this cushion by itself in the box, so the rest of your mask stays in use.
It suits AirTouch F30i wearers whose cushion has worn, and anyone who wakes with red lines across the nose or never got comfortable with silicone. A new cushion is also the simplest way to change size, since your frame stays the same.
Note: This cushion fits the F30i family and the AirFit X30i. It is a different part from the silicone AirFit F30i cushion, sold in different sizes, so check your size before you order.
How It Works
Using the sizing guide
ResMed's sizing guide is a single printable sheet with a Medium cutout and a Small Wide cutout nested inside the Large. Print it at actual size, hold it under your nose and find the opening that lines up with the sides of your nostrils.
If you are coming from the silicone AirFit F30i, ResMed groups its Small and Medium with this cushion's Medium, and its two Wide sizes with Small Wide or Large. A size on one ResMed mask is not a size on another, so measure rather than guess.
Daily care for fabric
Submerge it in warm, mildly soapy water so no air bubbles stay trapped inside, then hand wash it with attention to the vent holes and rinse it under running water. Repeat if it is not visibly clean.
Shake the QuietAir vent to clear the water, squeeze the fabric in a clean towel and leave it to dry naturally, away from strong sun. Dishwashers, washing machines and ozone or UV cleaners are all off the table for this mask.
Clear or Comfort frame
The AirTouch F30i comes in two versions, Clear with a see-through frame and Comfort with a fabric-wrapped frame. Both take this same cushion, so you can reorder it whichever version you wear.
Frame size is a separate choice, based on the fit around your head. Keep the frame size you have and change only the cushion if your nose width calls for a different fit.

Everything you need to know about the ResMed AirTouch F30i ComfiSoft Cushion
A soft touch on skin
Fabric feels nothing like a sheet of silicone against your face. ComfiSoft is soft and breathable, which is why ResMed made it the answer for people who never got on with silicone, while keeping the same secure full face seal.
No pressure on the bridge
Traditional full face cushions rest on the bridge of the nose, which is where morning marks tend to show. This cushion sits under the nose instead, designed to reduce pressure and marks, with a septum bridge that keeps its shape.
Fabric that ages gracefully
ComfiSoft fabric may pill or fray a little with use, and ResMed states plainly that this does not affect performance. Replace it when you see cracks or tears, or when the seal fades, rather than at the first sign of fuzz.

ComfiSoft fabric
A breathable fabric surface over flexible silicone, with no rigid plastic resting against your face.
AdaptiSeal technology
The fabric contours to your face and holds the seal as you move, even on your side or stomach.
QuietAir vent
A diffused vent built into the cushion softens the sound of exhaled air for a calmer night.
Minimal coverage
The compact cushion covers less of your face than a traditional full face seal, so the mask feels less bulky.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will this fit my AirFit F30i frame?
Yes. ResMed states this cushion is interchangeable with the AirFit F30i and AirFit X30i frames as well as both AirTouch F30i versions, so you can try fabric without buying a new mask.
Why is there no Small size?
ResMed makes this cushion in Small Wide, Medium and Large only. Narrower noses usually take Medium, and wider noses take Small Wide or Large, checked on ResMed's printable sizing guide held under the nose.
Can I use a brush on it?
No. ResMed says to hand wash this cushion without a bristle brush, unlike the silicone AirFit F30i cushion, which takes a soft one. Give the vent holes gentle attention by hand instead.
How often should I replace it?
ResMed gives two answers, every two weeks on some of its pages and every month on others. Replace it within that range, and sooner if the seal fades or you notice wear.
Is it quieter than the AirFit F30i?
Yes. The AirTouch F30i has a QuietAir vent built into the cushion, which ResMed rates quieter than the plain vent holes on the silicone AirFit F30i cushion.
