The AirTouch N30i cushion is the ComfiSoft fabric seal on ResMed's AirTouch N30i nasal mask. Soft fabric fused with silicone sits under your nose, so the seal feels gentle on the skin while staying secure.

Note: Before measuring, hold a ruler to the printed AirTouch template, since a sheet shrunk by your printer points to the wrong size.
How It Works
Fabric or silicone
ResMed sells the N30i with this ComfiSoft fabric cushion or a plain silicone one, and the choice comes down to feel. The AirTouch frame adds a full fabric sleeve, where the silicone version has short ones.
Silicone comes in four sizes and takes a soft brush. Fabric comes in three sizes, is washed by hand only and is replaced more often, in return for a softer feel.
Fitting the right size
ResMed sizes this cushion by nose width with its own AirTouch template, which nests Medium and Small Wide inside Large. Position it beneath your nose and pick the outline whose edges meet the outer edges of your nostrils.
Check the printout against its scale before measuring. Frame size, Small or Standard, is a separate choice made by how the frame rests around your head.
Fitting the new cushion
Ease the worn cushion off the frame and retire it, vent and all, because the replacement brings its own. Match the arrow markings on the new cushion to those on the frame, then push until it seats.
Once it is on your face, tune the headgear just until the seal holds, stopping well short of tight. A crease in the fabric is solved by lifting the mask away and resettling it.

Comfortable by morning
Silicone can leave skin damp or sticky after a full night. The ComfiSoft surface breathes and draws moisture away, so the skin under your nose stays drier and calmer until morning, especially if it is prone to irritation.
Three sizes, N30i frames
Only three sizes are made, Small Wide, Medium and Large, so the plain Small and Wide of the silicone cradle have no fabric twin. It fits N30i and P30i frames, and the older AirFit N30 takes a different cushion.
Pilling is not a fault
Fabric shows its age differently from silicone. ResMed says some pilling, fraying or wrinkling may appear and does not affect how it works, so judge the cushion by its seal and retire it once you spot a crack or tear.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the right way to wash fabric?
Hand wash it daily in warm, mildly soapy water, using only your fingers and no brush. Press out the water in a clean towel, give the vent a shake and leave it in the shade to finish drying.
Is an ozone cleaner safe for fabric?
Ozone and UV gadgets are not approved by ResMed for the N30i masks, and it warns they can discolor or damage the parts. Warm water and mild soap are the safe routine.
Why replace it every two weeks?
That is ResMed's own schedule for this cushion. Fabric is in contact with your skin all night, every night, while your frame and headgear last for months.
Will it fit my AirFit P30i frame?
Yes. ResMed groups the P30i with both N30i masks and says the cushions for all three are interchangeable, so you can move to fabric on the frame you already own.
Is my size the same as silicone?
Not necessarily. The fabric cushion has its own three sizes and its own printable template, so measure with that template rather than carrying over your silicone size.
