Overview

NovoSleep's carbon kit replaces the two parts inside your SoClean 2 that wear out with use: the cartridge filter and the check valve. Both are sized to match the machine's original kit and swap in the same way.

The cartridge turns leftover activated oxygen back into ordinary air as it leaves the sanitizing chamber, and the check valve keeps water from your CPAP from ever reaching the SoClean 2's electronics. Replace both together, since they wear out on the same schedule.

Key Features:

  • Two-part kit: Includes one cartridge filter and one check valve together, sized and shaped to match the SoClean 2 exactly.
  • Fits the SoClean 2: Sized and shaped to fit the standard SoClean 2 chamber, though SoClean 2 Go compatibility is not yet confirmed.
  • Blocks water backflow: The check valve is a one way gate that keeps water from your CPAP humidifier from reaching the SoClean 2's electronics.
  • Neutralizes leftover ozone: The cartridge converts activated oxygen back into ordinary air as it leaves the sanitizing chamber, before it ever reaches your gear.
  • Six month replacement: SoClean recommends replacing both the cartridge and the check valve every six months, or when its own display reminds you.
  • Two pack sizes: Sold as a single kit with one of each part, or a two-pack that covers a full year of replacements.

Order this kit once your SoClean 2 flags the current cartridge and valve as due, or every six months if you would rather stay ahead of the reminder. Either part wears out at roughly the same rate, so replace them together.

Note: This is a generic, compatible cartridge and check valve, not manufactured or sold by SoClean. It is built to match the SoClean 2's original kit.

How It Works

How the SoClean 2 sanitizes

The SoClean 2 pulls in room air and turns some of the oxygen in it into activated oxygen, also called ozone, inside its own chamber. That gas moves out through the hose you connect to your mask and tubing, not through the cartridge kit itself.

Because it travels as a gas, activated oxygen reaches into folds and seams that a brush or a wipe cannot follow, filling the mask, the tube and the humidifier reservoir at the same time before it breaks back down.

What the cartridge and valve actually do

Activated oxygen does not stay active for long once it has done its job. The cartridge in this kit sits at the point where the gas leaves the SoClean 2's chamber and converts whatever oxygen is left back into ordinary air before it reaches your equipment.

The check valve sits in the shared water line and only opens in one direction. Moisture trying to travel back toward the SoClean 2 meets a closed gate at the valve, which keeps the inside of the machine dry where the wiring sits.

Installing a new kit

The cartridge filter ships wrapped in plastic with a strip of blue tape covering the seal, and both come off before it is fitted. The check valve is directional, so the arrows printed on its body need to face the way SoClean's own instructions show.

Once both are seated, the SoClean 2's own countdown display is reset by holding the manual and hourglass buttons together for a few seconds, which starts the six month countdown over from this replacement.

Everything you need to know about the SoClean 2 Compatible Generic Carbon Kit

Built to match, not to brand

The SoClean 2 does not check where a cartridge or valve came from, only that the shapes and threads match. A generic kit built to the same dimensions as SoClean's own seats and functions the same way inside the machine.

What the cartridge does

The SoClean 2 fills your CPAP equipment with activated oxygen to sanitize it, and that gas does not stay activated for long. The cartridge sits at the outlet and turns what is left back into ordinary air before it reaches your gear.

Why the check valve matters

Water from your CPAP humidifier can travel back down the line toward the SoClean 2 during a cycle. The check valve is a one way gate that lets air through but keeps that water from ever reaching its electronics.

Two-part kit

Includes one cartridge filter and one check valve together, sized and shaped to match the SoClean 2 exactly.

Protects the unit

The check valve blocks water from your CPAP from draining back and reaching the SoClean 2's electronics.

Neutralizes leftover ozone

The cartridge converts activated oxygen back into regular air as it leaves the sanitizing chamber.

Two pack sizes

Sold as a single kit or a two-pack, so a full year of replacements ships in one order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an official SoClean product?

No. This is a generic, compatible replacement kit, not manufactured or sold by SoClean. It is built to the same dimensions as SoClean's own cartridge and check valve, and fits the SoClean 2 the same way.

How often should I replace it?

Every six months, or sooner if the SoClean 2's own countdown display tells you to. The company does not recommend running a cartridge past its stated life, since a spent filter stops converting the leftover ozone.

What does the check valve do?

It is a one way gate between your CPAP and the SoClean 2, letting air pass through while blocking water from your humidifier line. Without it, water could travel back and damage its internal electronics.

Does this fit a SoClean 2 Go?

We have not confirmed the cartridge is identical across the SoClean 2 and the SoClean 2 Go, so this listing covers the standard SoClean 2 only. Check which model you own before ordering if you have a Go.

What comes in the two-pack?

Two cartridge filters and two check valves, enough for a full year of replacements at the six month interval. The single pack includes one of each, enough for six months.
