This WhisperSoft Muffler Kit pairs a muffler with a 6 ft AirFlex hose for the original Transcend Micro. The muffler is Transcend's current design, 40 percent smaller than the version before it, and twists straight into the same air outlet your hose uses now.

Does this kit fit the Micro 510?

No. Transcend lists this kit as not compatible with the Micro 510. For a 510, the WhisperSoft Muffler Kit for Micro 510 is the one to buy, with a TransFlex hose in place of this AirFlex hose.

When does it need replacing?

Every three months, according to Transcend, for both the hose and the muffler. In between, give them a weekly soak in a 5 percent solution of mild dishwashing liquid in distilled water, then air dry them fully.

How do I fit the muffler?

Twist the muffler clockwise into the machine's air outlet with its curved cut-out facing outward, so its flat face lines up with the top of the machine. Then twist the hose into the muffler the same way.
