ResMed AirFit P30i Nasal Pillows Cushion

This is the replacement pillows cushion for the ResMed AirFit P30i, the tube-up nasal mask that carries air over the crown of your head instead of across your face. Unlike a cradle seal that cups the nose, these pillows rest just inside each nostril for a lighter point of contact.

ResMed builds this cushion on the same frame and elbow as the N30i cradle cushion, so the two are interchangeable on one mask. Moving between nasal pillows and a cradle seal is a cushion purchase, not a new mask system.

The AirFit P30i cushion is ideal for anyone whose seal has gone hard, stopped holding pressure, or is due on ResMed's monthly schedule. The frame, elbow and headgear all outlast it, since none of them are flexing against skin every single night.

Note: The AirFit P10 cushion and the plain N30 cushion look similar and fit different frames. Only the N30i cradle cushion shares this platform, so check the model on your frame before ordering.

Why N30i and P30i share parts

ResMed publishes one user guide covering both masks, which is the clearest signal of how closely they are related. The frame, the elbow, the quick release and the headgear are common, and the only thing that changes between the two products is what seals at the nose.

That makes switching styles unusually simple. If nasal pillows leave you sore, a cradle cushion on the identical hardware is one purchase away, and nothing else in your setup has to change to accommodate it.

One gap in the device list

This mask is cleared for both AirSense generations, the full AirCurve 10 range and the S9 family, plus most of the AirCurve 11 lineup. There is one narrow exception worth knowing about before you order.

The AirCurve 11 ST and ST-A are marked as not validated for the P30i specifically, where the AirFit P10 and the Swift FX both are. If you run one of those two machines, that is a reason to look at a different cushion family rather than assume coverage.

Care, and the monthly guideline

ResMed asks for a daily soak in warm water with a mild detergent, followed by a hand wash with a soft bristle brush worked over the vent holes. Rinse it thoroughly afterward and leave it to air dry somewhere out of direct sun.

The published guideline is one cushion a month. Treat that as a ceiling rather than a target, because a cushion that has gone hard or lost its shape leaks well before the calendar says it should be replaced.
