What a fitting covers
Mask style
Full face, nasal or nasal pillows, matched to how you breathe and sleep, such as mouth breathing or sleeping on your side.
Cushion size
Most masks come in several sizes. You try them on, so the size is chosen on your face instead of from a chart.
Seal check
We look for gaps around the cushion while you wear the mask, so a leak is easier to fix before you take it home.
Headgear adjustment
The straps are set snug, not tight, so the mask stays sealed without pressing hard on your face.

Shop CPAP masksWho a fitting helps
A CPAP mask fitting helps most when your face or the way you sleep makes a mask harder to fit. That includes a beard or mustache, glasses you wear in bed, a high or narrow nose bridge, mouth breathing and sleeping on your side or stomach.
Sizes vary between brands, so a medium in one mask can fit like a small in another. Trying a few side by side is the quickest way to see the difference.
Every mask comes with our 30-day mask fit guarantee. If it is not right once you sleep in it, the returns policy explains how to send it back.
Frequently asked questions
Is CPAP mask fitting free?
Yes. The fitting costs nothing. You pay only for a mask you decide to buy.
Do I need an appointment for a mask fitting?
No. Walk in while the store is open, or book a time by phone if you prefer a set slot.
How long does a CPAP mask fitting take?
Most fittings take between 10 and 40 minutes.
Do I need a prescription for a mask fitting?
No. The fitting needs no prescription. Buying a complete mask does, while replacement cushions, pillows and headgear do not. Send your prescription before your visit or bring it with you if you plan to buy.
Will the mask work with my CPAP machine?
Yes. A standard CPAP mask connects to any CPAP machine's tubing, whatever the brand. The ResMed AirMini is the exception: it takes only certain ResMed masks, with their AirMini setup pack.
What if the mask is not right at home?
Masks are covered by our 30-day mask fit guarantee. See the returns policy for how a return or exchange works.
