Full face CPAP mask styles we carry
Over the nose
The classic shape: one cushion seals over the bridge of your nose and around your mouth. The ResMed AirFit F20 and the Fisher & Paykel Vitera and Simplus are built this way.
See the AirFit F20Under the nose
The cushion sits below the bridge of your nose, which keeps your view open for reading or glasses. The ResMed AirFit F30 and Philips DreamWear Full Face use this design.
See the AirFit F30Tube on top of the head
The hose connects at the top of your head instead of in front of your face, so it stays out of the way when you turn over. The AirFit F30i and DreamWear Full Face work this way.

ResMed's AirTouch masks swap the silicone cushion for soft memory foam. The AirTouch F20, F30i and F40 are all in our range.

A full face mask suits you if you breathe through your mouth while you sleep, or if a stuffy nose from allergies or colds makes nose breathing harder some nights. Some people on higher pressure settings also find it holds its seal more easily.
It is the largest mask style, so it touches more of your face than a nasal mask. Under-the-nose designs such as the AirFit F30 and DreamWear Full Face keep that contact to a minimum.
In our Davie store you can try several full face masks side by side. A free mask fitting takes you through it, and you can buy in the store or order online for pickup or shipping.

Shop mask partsFrequently asked questions
Is a full face mask better than a nasal mask?
Neither is better for everyone. A full face mask suits mouth breathing, while a nasal or nasal pillow mask is smaller and lighter. Trying both at a fitting is the quickest way to tell which works for you.
How should a full face CPAP mask fit?
It should seal with the straps snug, not tight. If you have to pull the straps hard to stop a leak, the size or style is usually the problem, and a fitting can check it.
Do I need a prescription for a full face mask?
Yes, a complete CPAP mask needs a prescription. Replacement cushions and headgear do not. Details are on our prescription help page.
Can I wear a full face mask if I sleep on my side?
Yes. Masks with the hose on top of the head, such as the AirFit F30i and DreamWear Full Face, keep the tube off your pillow. ResMed also designed the compact AirFit F40 and AirTouch F40 to let you change sleeping positions. You can compare them at a free fitting.
How often does Medicare replace a full face mask?
Medicare's usual limit is one new full face cushion a month and one new full face mask every three months. See Medicare CPAP supplier for how we bill it.
Will a full face mask work with my machine?
Yes, with any standard CPAP or BiPAP machine. The ResMed AirMini takes only certain ResMed masks with an AirMini setup pack, so check the mask's page first.
