Overview

The Philips DreamWisp is a nasal mask that combines two Philips design ideas in one product: the overhead tube routing built for DreamWear, and the light, minimal-contact cushion first built for Wisp. The cushion rests at your nostrils rather than sealing across your whole nose.

Air reaches that cushion through the hollow sides of the frame instead of a hose crossing your face, and the elbow connects at the crown of your head. Magnetic clips join the headgear to the frame, so the fit lines up by feel, not a buckle.

Key Features:

  • Two designs in one mask: DreamWisp carries air through the frame the way DreamWear does, while keeping the light, under the nose feel Wisp is known for.
  • Frame connector sets the fit: A separate Frame Connector, not the one size headgear, adjusts to your head, and this Fit Pack ships the Medium size.
  • Three cushion sizes included: Small, Medium and Large cushions all ship in the box, so nose fit is settled without a second order.
  • Magnetic headgear clips: Clips join the headgear to the frame with a magnet, so the fit lines up by feel rather than a buckle.
  • Rated for smaller patients: The mask is rated down to 66 pounds, so it fits a wider range of body sizes than an adult only design.
  • Petite and Extra Large exist: Two cushion sizes beyond this pack, Petite and Extra Large, are sold on their own for faces the standard three miss.

The DreamWisp is ideal for patients who want an open field of view without giving up the overhead tube routing of a DreamWear style mask. It also suits anyone who never settled on one cushion size and wants to try three at once.

How It Works

Why this mask combines two platforms

Philips built DreamWear around routing air through a hollow frame to the crown of the head, and built Wisp around a cushion that touches as little of the nose as possible. DreamWisp keeps both ideas rather than choosing one.

The practical result is a mask that avoids a hose across your face while still leaving your glasses and your view mostly clear, the two most common reasons patients look for a different mask shape.

Two sizes, measured two different ways

Most nasal masks size a single frame to your head. DreamWisp splits that job: the headgear itself is one size for everyone, and a separate Frame Connector, sized Small, Medium or Large, is the part that actually adjusts to your head shape.

Cushion size is sized separately again, this time by the width of your nose. Because the two measurements do not depend on each other, a narrow face with a wide nose bridge is not a contradiction here.

What ships, and what does not

This Fit Pack ships all three common cushion sizes, Small, Medium and Large, so nose fit gets settled at home. The connector, by contrast, ships in Medium only, the size that fits most heads out of the box.

If Medium runs loose or tight at the temples, Small and Large connectors are sold on their own and swap onto the same headgear. Petite and Extra Large cushions exist the same way, for the faces the included three do not cover.

Caring for a magnetic mask

The headgear clips and the cushion both carry a magnet, which is what makes the fit line up without watching in a mirror. Philips asks that the clips stay at least 2 inches from any active implant, including a pacemaker.

Hand wash the cushion and frame with mild detergent and let them air dry, and hand wash the headgear the same way on its own slower schedule. Philips gives no fixed calendar interval for either, only a wear check.

Everything you need to know about the Philips DreamWisp Nasal Mask

Built from two platforms

DreamWisp pairs the overhead tube routing Philips built for DreamWear with the light, minimal-contact cushion from Wisp. The result carries air through the frame instead of a hose while keeping the nose itself mostly uncovered.

The connector does the sizing

Head fit and nose fit are two separate parts here. The Frame Connector, not the headgear, sets how the mask sits against your head, and this Fit Pack ships the Medium connector, which fits most faces straight out of the box.

Three cushions, one connector

This pack ships Small, Medium and Large cushions so nose fit is settled at home, but only the Medium Frame Connector. If Medium runs loose or tight at the temples, Small and Large connectors sell separately rather than in this box.

Minimal nasal contact

The cushion rests lightly at your nostrils instead of sealing across your whole nose, so your field of view stays open.

Frame carries airflow

Air reaches the cushion through the hollow sides of the frame, and the tube connects at the crown of your head.

Magnetic headgear clips

The headgear clips snap onto the frame with a magnet, so lining up the fit by feel takes seconds, not searching.

Connector sets fit

The headgear is one size for everyone, so a separate Frame Connector, Small, Medium or Large, is what adjusts to your head.

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the DreamWisp Fit Pack?

Small, Medium and Large cushions, standard size headgear, and the Medium Frame Connector. Petite and Extra Large cushions exist on this platform too, sold on their own outside this pack.

Are the magnetic clips safe with a pacemaker?

Keep the clips at least 2 inches (50 mm) from any active medical device, including a pacemaker, defibrillator or cochlear implant, per Philips' own guidance. Check with your doctor first if you carry one.

What if the Medium connector does not fit?

Small and Large Frame Connectors are sold separately and swap onto the same headgear and frame. Cushion size stays whatever you already chose, since the two are sized independently.

Will it work with my machine?

Yes. The DreamWisp uses a standard CPAP hose connection and works with any CPAP or BiPAP machine, not just Philips Respironics.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes, CPAP masks are prescription devices. You can still complete checkout without one: we hold the order rather than cancel it, and ship as soon as we can verify your prescription.
