What the chamber actually does

Your AirSense 11 pulls air across the surface of the water in this chamber before it reaches your mask, and how much moisture that air picks up depends on the water level and the machine's humidity setting, not on the chamber itself. The chamber's only job is to hold that water and seal cleanly against the humidifier plate so no air bypasses it.

The dishwasher-safe version and the standard version share the same tray geometry, which is why ResMed can rate one for a dishwasher cycle and the other for hand-washing only without changing anything about fit or output. The difference is entirely in the plastic and seal materials chosen to survive repeated dishwasher heat.

Why the seal matters more than the plastic
