Overview

The Fisher & Paykel Simplus is a full face CPAP mask built around the RollFit seal, a single piece of silicone that rolls against the bridge of your nose rather than pressing flat against it. Unlike a fixed seal, RollFit adjusts as you move, spreading pressure instead of concentrating it.

The Easy Clip Frame accepts every seal size the mask ships in, and the ErgoForm headgear self-locates high on the back of your head. Together they let the mask follow side sleeping and rolling over through the night without needing to be refit by hand.

Key Features:

  • Self-adjusting RollFit seal: The silicone seal rolls with movement against the bridge of your nose, spreading pressure instead of digging in at one spot.
  • One frame fits every size: The Easy Clip Frame takes Small, Medium or Large seals interchangeably, so a size change never means a new frame.
  • Quiet Advanced Air Diffuser: Vent holes built into the seal spread exhaled air out gently instead of sending it in one direction across the bed.
  • Two headgear sizes only: Headgear ships in Small or Medium-Large, sized independently from the three seal sizes, so the two are chosen apart.
  • Built in safety flap: A silicone flap inside the elbow limits rebreathing if the CPAP machine is ever switched off during the night.
  • Made by Fisher & Paykel: Simplus is an F&P mask, not a Philips product, and F&P lists it as a current, active part of its full face lineup.

The Simplus is ideal for patients who move through the night and need a seal that follows rather than one they have to reset. It also suits anyone who wants one frame to carry every seal size as their fit changes.

How It Works

Why the seal rolls instead of pressing

A fixed silicone seal holds its position by being pressed harder against the face, which is where sore spots and red marks start. RollFit is built to move instead, rolling along the bridge of the nose as you shift position.

That rolling action is what lets the seal keep contact without more strap tension. The same mechanism means a leak is often answered by loosening the fit rather than tightening it further.

Two vents, two different jobs

The Advanced Air Diffuser sits in the seal itself and its job is comfort: spreading exhaled air out quietly rather than venting it in one direction. It has nothing to do with safety.

A separate silicone flap lives inside the elbow, and its only job is keeping carbon dioxide rebreathing to a minimum if the machine is switched off. F&P designs it not to be removed or pulled on by the patient.

Sizing the headgear apart from the seal

Most masks size headgear the same way they size the seal. Simplus does not: the ErgoForm headgear comes in only two sizes, Small or Medium-Large, chosen by head size rather than face size.

That means the seal size that fits your face and the headgear size that fits your head are two separate decisions. A Medium-Large headgear pairs with any of the three seal sizes without changing anything else.

Caring for a mask that hand washes daily

F&P asks that the seal, frame and elbow be hand washed after every use in lukewarm soapy water, never soaked past 10 minutes, then air dried away from direct sunlight before reassembly.

The headgear is the exception: it only needs washing once every 7 days, not nightly. Replace the seal roughly every 30 days, the frame every 3 months and the headgear every 6, sooner if any part shows wear.

Everything you need to know about the Fisher & Paykel Simplus Full Face Mask

A safety flap in the elbow

A separate silicone flap inside the elbow keeps carbon dioxide rebreathing to a minimum if your CPAP machine is switched off or loses power. It is a different part from the seal's own diffuser, and it is not meant to be removed or pulled on.

ErgoForm headgear placement

The headgear's stretch and non-stretch panels self-locate high on the rear of your head rather than low at the neck. That lets your head move side to side and up and down through the night without the mask dislodging.

Two headgear sizes, three cushions

Headgear comes in only Small or Medium-Large, while the seal comes in Small, Medium or Large, and the two are chosen independently. Any Medium-Large headgear pairs with any seal size, so head size and face size do not have to match.

RollFit auto-adjusting seal

The single piece silicone seal rolls against the bridge of your nose, spreading pressure instead of digging in at one spot.

Universal frame fit

The Easy Clip Frame takes any seal size, so trying a different size later needs no new frame.

Advanced Air Diffuser

Vent holes built into the seal spread your exhaled air out quietly instead of firing it across the bed.

Simple daily wash

Hand wash the seal, frame and elbow after every use, and the headgear only once a week.

Frequently Asked Questions

What comes in the Fit Pack?

One assembled mask with a Medium seal already attached, plus separate Small and Large seals, a Quick Reference Card and a Care Guide. That is one frame, one headgear and three seal sizes, not three complete masks.

Is this made by Philips?

No. The Simplus is made by Fisher & Paykel, a different company from Philips Respironics. F&P lists it as a current, active mask alongside Vitera, Eson 2 and Evora.

How often do I replace parts?

F&P recommends the seal every 30 days, the frame every 3 months, and the headgear every 6 months. Replace any part sooner if it is discolored, cracked or overstretched.

Will it work with my machine?

Yes. F&P states the Simplus is compatible with all home PAP devices, CPAP, APAP or Bi-Level, not just Fisher & Paykel machines.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes, CPAP masks are prescription devices. You can still complete checkout without one: we hold the order rather than cancel it, and ship as soon as we can verify your prescription.
