The AirMist HME Kit adds moisture to your therapy without a water chamber, since neither the Transcend Micro nor the Micro 510 has a humidifier. A foam cartridge in the adapter holds on to the moisture in each breath out and hands it back on the next breath in.

Which machines is it for?

Transcend lists it for the original Transcend Micro and the Micro 510 only, and the adapter connects to most masks with a standard 22 mm connection. A full-size machine with its own humidifier does not need it.

How long does a cartridge last?

Transcend says to throw a cartridge away after 3 to 7 days of use, because the foam cannot be cleaned. The adapter itself is washed weekly and replaced every three months.

How do I put a cartridge in?

Unscrew the adapter, drop a cartridge into the bottom half and screw the top back on until it presses together. Hold the cartridge by its plastic rim rather than the foam, then attach the bottom to your hose and the top to your mask.
