What 620 reviews told F&P to fix

Before designing the Vitera, F&P read through 620 one to four star reviews of full face masks across seven major CPAP retailer sites. Leaking came up in roughly one review out of every three, more than any other complaint.

A redesigned silicone seal and a wider anchor zone built into the straps are F&P's direct answer to that finding, not a general refresh of an older mask. Both are aimed squarely at keeping the seal in place as a patient moves.

Why there is no magnet

F&P states plainly that its masks, including the Vitera, are built without magnets anywhere in the assembly. Two Headgear Clips do the job instead, snapping the straps to the frame at two fixed points.

That matters for patients managing an active implant or who simply prefer to avoid magnetic hardware near their face overnight. The clips hold with the same reliability, just through mechanical tension rather than a magnetic pull.

Fabric built to move air

VentiCool is F&P's own name for the fabric used on the Vitera headgear straps, tested internally against the material used on its older leading full face masks. The company's own figures put airflow through the fabric more than 21 times higher, with over a third more moisture passing through it.

In practice that means less heat and dampness building up under the strap overnight, the kind of discomfort that leads a patient to loosen a strap and lose the seal it was holding.

Sizing without a numeric chart

F&P publishes no face measurement chart for the Vitera's three seal sizes. In its place are three separate tools: a printable ruler to cut and hold against your face, the Fit Pack itself, which ships all three sizes to test, and the myMask smartphone app.

F&P's own internal validation puts the app's sizing accuracy above 91 percent against manual measurement, in a 73 participant study. Pillows sizing is not supported in the app, only full face and nasal masks.
