The Transcend Micro 510 Auto CPAP brings the pressure range of a full-size home machine into a compact design that weighs less than half a pound. It’s easy to pack for a weekend away or a longer trip, so you can keep up with your sleep therapy wherever you go.
This updated version of the original Micro includes an AirMist waterless humidifier for added comfort without the need to pack distilled water. A hard-shell travel case helps protect your machine and keeps it ready for your next trip.
The Micro 510 comes in four colors and includes a three-year warranty, one year longer than the original. Made by Transcend in Fridley, Minnesota, using US and imported parts, it’s designed for five years of use.

The Micro 510 is ideal for flights, road trips, camping and any night away from a bedside outlet. It suits sleepers who are comfortable without heated humidification, because the machine has no water heater and no way to set the temperature of your air.
Note: No mask is included. Transcend asks that you use only Micro 510 parts with it, including its own air filters, and its warranty does not cover damage caused by parts from other makers.
How It Works
How AirMist adds moisture without water
AirMist is a heat and moisture exchanger, usually shortened to HME. Every time you breathe out, the foam in the cartridge catches some of the warmth and water vapor in your breath. On the next breath in, air from the machine passes back through that foam and picks the moisture up again on its way to you.
The cartridge sits in a small adapter on the 22 mm connection between the hose and your mask. It is not a substitute for the HumidX system, which only fits masks built for the ResMed AirMini.
The power supply and the PowerAway battery
The 40 watt supply turns household current into the 19 volts DC the machine runs on. Transcend makes it in two styles with the same rating, a wall plug and a laptop style brick.
The PowerAway battery weighs 16.7 ounces and recharges in under four hours. Transcend rates it for more than 1,000 charge cycles, and it can also be charged from Transcend's Sun-Watt solar panel. A higher pressure setting or a leaking mask shortens each charge.
How your data reaches your provider
The Micro 510 sends its therapy record to MySleepDash over Bluetooth when you open the app. From there you can review the settings your provider chose, read Transcend's answers to common questions, and download a compliance report or share it with your care team straight from your phone.

Built for travel
The Micro 510 measures 3.6 by 3.6 by 2.4 inches and weighs about 7.9 ounces. That is about the size of a baseball, small enough to share a carry-on with everything else you pack.

Pressure and comfort settings
The Micro 510 runs Auto CPAP, which adjusts your pressure as your breathing changes, or fixed CPAP at one setting. Both run from 4 to 20 cm H2O.
- GentleRise ramp starts low and climbs over up to 45 minutes
- AirRelief eases pressure as you breathe out, at three levels or off
- SleepStart begins therapy when you breathe in and stops when the mask comes off
Controlled by four buttons
Four buttons run the Micro 510: Power, Ramp, Bluetooth and Dry Cycle. A green light shows the machine has power and is ready, and the lights go out once therapy starts.
- Dry Cycle runs low airflow through the hose and anything attached to it for 30 minutes, and Transcend recommends it after every night
- Bluetooth switches the app connection on or off
Waterless humidification
The Micro 510 has no water chamber to fill. An AirMist adapter sits between the hose and your mask, and its foam cartridge holds on to the warmth and moisture in the air you breathe out. That means no distilled water to buy or pack, and no chamber to empty and dry each morning.
Works with your mask
The Micro 510 uses the standard 22 mm hose connection, so the mask you already sleep in comes along on the trip. Nasal, nasal pillow and full face masks from any brand will attach. The one exception is masks made only for the ResMed AirMini, which use their own slim connector.
TransFlex or AirFlex hose
The Micro 510 comes with a six foot TransFlex hose. If you already travel with Transcend's AirFlex Micro 6 or Micro 4 hose, it fits the 510 as well, so there is no second hose to buy. Hoses carry Transcend's 90 day accessory warranty rather than the longer warranty on the machine itself.
MySleepDash app
The Micro 510 pairs over Bluetooth with the free MySleepDash app for iOS and Android. Each morning it shows how many hours you used your therapy, with summaries of your pressure and mask leak. It also tracks those numbers over time, so you can see how your nights are trending.
Frequently Asked Questions
How loud is the Micro 510?
Transcend advertises it at 27 dBA. Its user manual, measured to the ISO sound standard at a pressure of 10 cm H2O, gives 31 dBA. That manual figure is the one to set beside another machine's manual when you compare.
Can I take it on a plane?
Yes. Transcend states the Micro 510 meets FAA requirements for use in flight, and in the air it asks you to switch Bluetooth off and start therapy from the machine's own button. Check with your airline first, since some ask for enough battery to cover 150 percent of the flight.
Can I change my own pressure settings?
Your prescribed pressure and mode are set by your provider. The comfort settings are yours to change: you can adjust ramp time and AirRelief exhale relief yourself in the MySleepDash app.
Which parts will I need to replace?
Transcend advises replacing the air filter every two weeks, even when it looks clean, and sooner in a dusty, smoky or humid room. AirMist cartridges cannot be cleaned and are thrown away after three to seven days of use.
How do I clean the Micro 510?
Wipe the outside with a lint-free cloth dampened in mild detergent mixed with distilled water, and never while it is running. Transcend rules out bleach, chlorine and scented cleaners, and its warranty does not cover damage from ozone or activated oxygen cleaners.
Can it run on a battery?
Yes. Transcend's PowerAway battery, sold separately, runs the Micro 510 for up to 17.5 hours on one charge. At home it runs from the included power supply, which accepts 100 to 240 volts at 50 or 60 hertz, so a plug adapter is all you need abroad.
Do I need a prescription?
